Building on Experience, Continuing the Mission
My Story
I have been a proud member of the Board of Trustees since 2013, representing Area 3. I am a former Board president and have also served as secretary and vice president.

Born and raised in Belton, I graduated from Belton High School in 1983 and have deep roots in the community. After dedicating 28 years to the Bell County Public Health District, I retired in 2012—but I didn’t slow down. Since 2013, I have been providing IT support for Baylor Scott & White Hospital, combining my love for technology with my passion for helping others.

As a mom of five, I was always involved in my kids’ schools, including serving as PTA president at Miller Heights Elementary. I am a member of Magnolia First Baptist Church. I served as President of Parents Helping Parents from 1997-2012. I also served on the City of Belton’s 2013 Capital Improvement Planning Committee. I am married to Stephen McDonald.

Education has always been important to me. I earned an Associate degree from Temple College, a Bachelor's degree, with a Minor in Business, from Tarleton State University, and a Health Information Technology certification from the State of Texas. I am a big believer in lifelong learning and the power of education to shape the future.
Empowering Students, Embracing Technology: A Trustee’s Perspective
“I think we should always be learning something new—it keeps life interesting and puts you in control of your future! Belton ISD is leading the way in technology and education, and I truly believe our students have incredible opportunities. With my background in computers and my passion for learning, serving as a trustee just makes sense. I’m excited to help BISD continue moving forward in a big way!”
